What is stored
If you save a sleep profile, the site uses browser Local Storage to remember age range, target sleep duration, weekday and weekend wake times, sleep latency, planning-cycle length, caffeine sensitivity, and clock format. Saved nightly plans and up to 30 morning check-ins may also be stored locally so the site can display a seven-day trend and sleep timing consistency signal.
What is not collected in this version
There is no user account, cloud sleep-profile database, advertising tracker, or health-record integration. We do not receive the times you type into the calculators merely because a result appears.
Service worker and offline files
The Progressive Web App service worker may cache public site files on your device so calculators can reopen offline. Cached files are the same website code and content available to every visitor; they do not contain your personal profile.
Calendar, copy, and share
Calendar files are generated on your device. Copy uses your browser clipboard. Share opens your device’s native share sheet when available. Information leaves the site only when you choose a destination and confirm the action.
Server logs
Like most web hosting, infrastructure providers may process basic request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps for security, delivery, and operational logs. We do not combine those logs with a local sleep profile.
How to delete local data
Clear this site’s storage in your browser settings, or clear browsing data for calculatingsleep.org. Uninstalling the PWA may not remove site storage in every browser, so browser settings are the reliable method.
Children
The tools are intended for general informational use and are not designed to collect personal information from children. A parent, guardian, or clinician should guide sleep decisions for minors.
